Covid-19 Watch: Five Deaths Recorded on Saturday (Jan 29), Lowest in Nine Months

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded the lowest Covid-19 deaths on Saturday (Jan 29) in nine months, with five deaths, three of which were brought-in-dead.

There was one death each recorded in Selangor, Pahang, Penang, Kelantan and Melaka.

According to the Health Ministry, the lowest number of Covid-19 deaths recorded prior to this was on April 20, 2021 with three deaths.

The overall number of Covid-19 fatality in the country as at Jan 29 stands at 31,957 or 1.1% from the 2,861,069 total Covid-19 cases.

The Klang Valley and Labuan has the highest Covid-19 fatality for every 10,000 people, at 15 deaths.

This is followed by Negri Sembilan (12), and Melaka, Johor, Kedah and Penang with 10 deaths per 10,000 people.

Putrajaya has the lowest Covid-19 deaths per 10,000 people at 2 deaths.
