Covid-19 infections Rise to 528,101 in Myanmar but Daily Numbers Are Going Lower by the day

JAKARTA, Dec 18 (Xinhua): Indonesia recorded 248 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 4,260,380, the country’s Covid-19 Task Force said on Saturday

According to it, an additional 214 patients have recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,111,464 in the South-East Asian country.

Meanwhile, the overall coronavirus death toll has risen to 143,998, including 12 newly reported deaths.

The archipelagic country has so far administered 257.54 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines, including 1.268 million third doses.

Indonesia has managed to contain the second wave of Covid-19 transmissions triggered by the Delta variant, with the peak recorded at 51,952 cases on July 15, and has detected its first few cases of the Omicron variant. – XInhua
