22 Covid-19 Clusters, 11 From Workplaces

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has detected 22 new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.
He said 11 were workplaces clusters, seven were community related, two were in the education sector while high-risk groups and detention centres recorded one each.
The clusters were detected in Penang, Johor, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Kelantan, Kedah, Selangor and Pahang.
Penang
- Industri Bukit Panchor: a workplace cluster linked to a factory. It involves Seberang Perai Utama, Seberang Perai Tengah, Seberang Perai Selatan and Timur Laut. 545 screened, 94 positive.
- Kelisa Emas: a community cluster. It involves Seberang Perai Tengah and Barat Daya. The index case was detected on May 25. 43 screened, 20 positive.
Johor
- Teknologi Enam: a workplace cluster linked to a factory. It involves Tangkak. The index case was detected on May 14. 85 screened, 15 positive.
- Jalan SILC Satu: a workplace cluster linked to a factory. It involves Johor Bahru and Pontian. The index case was detected on May 25. 110 screened, 15 positive.
- Jalan Bioteknologi Satu: a workplace cluster linked to a factory. It involves Johor Bahru. The index case was detected on May 30. 62 screened, 24 positive.
- Jalan Parit Raja Tengah: a community cluster. It involves Muar. The index case was detected on May 17. 42 screened, 27 positive.
Sarawak
- Jalan Jee Cattleya: a workplace cluster linked to a factory and warehouse. It involves Miri. 145 screened, 23 positive.
- Jalan Pinang Riam: a workplace cluster linked to a restaurant. It involves Miri. The index case was detected on May 18. 129 screened, 15 positive.
- Nanga Meruan: a community cluster. It involves Selangau, Sibu and Kanowit. The index case was detected on May 20. 115 screened, 34 positive.

- Jalan Yaacob Latif 2: an education sector cluster linked to an educational centre. It involves Cheras. The index case was detected on May 25. 39 screened, 10 positive.
Negeri Sembilan
- Industri Jemapoh: a workplace cluster linked to a factory. It involves Kuala Pilah and Jempol. 285 screened, 50 positive.
- Jalan Mutiara Galla: a cluster linked to a religious gathering. It involves Seremban. The index case was detected on May 22. 45 screened, 33 positive.
Perak
