PETALING JAYA: Malaysia reported 2,733 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday (April 27), bringing the total number of infections in the country since the pandemic began to 398,451, says the Health Ministry.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor remained the state with the most cases at 750, followed by Kelantan (484), Sarawak (432) and Kuala Lumpur (377).
Only Labuan did not report any new cases on Tuesday, the Health Ministry said in a tweet.
The country saw another 2,019 Covid-19 patients discharged from treatment on Tuesday.
This brings the country’s total Covid-19 recoveries to 371,575 – which is a recovery rate of 93.5%.
Active cases have now gone up to 25,414.
There were also 13 more fatalities, taking the Covid-19 death toll up to 1,462.
The number of cases under intensive care treatment is 294, with 138 patients receiving ventilator support.
