Covid-19: 2,331 New Cases Bring Total to 372,859

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 2,331 new cases, bringing the nation’s cumulative total to 372,859.

In a tweet on Saturday (April 17), the Health Ministry said 2,319 cases were local infections and 12 were imported.

It also said there were 1,832 new recoveries, for a total of 352,395 to date.

Five more people succumbed to Covid-19, bringing the country’s death toll to 1,370.

The number of active cases is now 19,094.

Of this number, 225 are in intensive care units (ICU), with 92 requiring ventilator support.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases at 751, followed by Sarawak (512) and Kuala Lumpur (252).
