Covid-19: Seven New Clusters Detected in the Country on Saturday (April 3)

PETALING JAYA: Seven new Covid-19 clusters have been identified in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of active clusters in the country to 357.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the new clusters were a mixture of workplace and community clusters in Sarawak, Sabah, Johor, Melaka, Negri Sembilan and Pahang.

The community clusters are the Kampung Binyu cluster in Sarawak, Jalan Merdeka cluster in Johor, Simpang Tiga Merotai cluster in Sabah and Jalan Kenanga cluster in Melaka.

Those that involved the workplace are the Jalan Bandar Sembilan cluster in Negri Sembilan, Teknologi Peramu Jaya cluster in Pahang and Jalan Kubota Sentral cluster in Sabah.

“Fifty-eight clusters recorded new cases in the last 24 hours.

“The highest increase were the Jalan Pelabuhan cluster in Perak with 486 cases, Kampung Binyu cluster in Kuching, Sarawak (61 cases) and Bukit Serdang cluster in Hulu Langat, Selangor (19 cases), ” he said in a statement here Saturday (April 3).

Dr Noor Hisham noted that 13 clusters have ended in the last 24 hours.

They are the Merotai Besar cluster, Jengka Tujuh cluster, Jalan Perindustrian Elektronik cluster, Perindustrian Pelepas cluster, Jalan Bukit Sentosa cluster, Jalan Aman cluster, Persiaran Kuala cluster, Tapak Bina Muda cluster, Jalan Mutiara Barat cluster, Jalan Tanjung Empat cluster, Industri 19 cluster, Lagoon Selatan cluster and Tapak Bina Pantai Dalam cluster.
