Covid-19: Sabah Records 39 New Cases, Lowest Since Sept 29 Last Year

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recorded 39 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday (March 14), the lowest since end of September last year, says Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic).

“Great news today. Today marks the lowest number so far in many, many months.

“Just 39 new Covid-19 positive (cases) for the whole of Sabah. Kota Kinabalu has just four cases and zero cases in 16 districts. The only dent in today’s results is Keningau with 14.

“Please don’t get complacent,” tweeted the State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

Following snap state polls on Sept 26 last year, Sabah saw a spike in Covid-19 cases that triggered the nation’s third wave of the pandemic.

The state’s daily positive cases have been showing a downtrend since early this month when the figures dropped to double digits. The state recorded 71 new cases on Saturday (March 13).
