KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia recorded the highest recovery cases today at 1,000, the Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.
He said this brings up to the tally of 21, 248 recovered cases in the country.
There were 659 new Covid-19 cases today, and 10,051 active cases, he said.
This is the second time in a week that the country recorded higher recoveries than new cases. On Thursday, 685 patients recovered from Covid-19, creating a new record for the most number of recoveries in a day. Sabah remains the state with the highest number of new daily cases at 529 from mass targeted screenings.
“There is only one import case involving a foreigner entering the country from Bangladesh.”
Dr Noor Hisham added that currently 83 positive cases were being treated at the intensive care unit with 19 requiring ventilator support while there are no fatalities recorded today.
