Covid-19 Update: 23 New Cases, Bringing Total to 8,884, No New Deaths

PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry has recorded 23 new cases and 17 recoveries on Saturday (July 25).

Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said out of the 23 new infections, six were imported cases involving four Malaysians and two foreigners who are residents in the country, or who came into the country for work purposes.

“From the 17 local cases, ten cases involved Malaysians and seven involved foreigners,” he said in a statement Wednesday (July 22).

The ten cases involving Malaysians were from Sarawak (eight cases) and Johor (two).

“Up until now, three patients are still being treated at intensive care units. Two patients require a ventilator,” he said.

He also said that there were no new fatalities, with the death toll remaining at 123.
