Indonesia’s Latest Official COVID-19 Figures

The Health Ministry announced 1,671 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 74,018.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, the ministry’s disease control and prevention director-general, Achmad Yurianto, added that 66 more people had died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 3,535. The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 34,719.

The capital city recorded 378 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 14,113. Meanwhile, East Java reported 409 new cases, South Sulawesi 180, Central Java 100, North Sumatra 87, and South Kalimantan 79.

The virus has spread to all of the country’s 34 provinces.
